Vitamin D
Right I think it’s been about 6 months since I started taking 5,000 IU daily. I have to be honest in that I have not always remembered to take it but we’ve had a bit of sun so I have obtained some naturally, hopefully!
Have I noticed any differences? Well, yep!
1. My knee/shin
I injured my knee/shin about two years ago in a fall and it has been a nuisance ever since with some days being very painful. It doesn’t appear to click like it used to and whilst it sometimes aches, I can now kneel on it if careful not to just drop down. I have not tried exercise yet but will hopefully get to do some walking soon, weather permitting. Still want to do that Roman villa walk in Staffordshire!
2. Immune System
I have just had a cold. It may have started on Thursday as I had a right bad head and felt yuck which is sometimes how colds start with me. Since then on and off I’ve felt rough with sore throat, sneezing, bad head, sore eyes, etc. But I haven’t been floored like I usually am. In fact I’m getting better give or take some coughing at night. I haven’t even had a bad runny nose or watering eyes. I can honestly say I think the Vitamin D has had a dramatic effect on my immune system, in a good way – yay!
3. Other Things
I’m not sure. I can’t really say anything about mood as it is summer and I’ve had my ups and downs when I really miss dad. I shall comment on this during the mid-winter months.
