The Last Airbender in 3D

Well, I liked it :)

I’ve not watched the Avatar cartoon although I know of it. Kind of meant I had no preconceptions and had no real clue what to expect. Apparently the film is not popular with the fans and the critics hate it, but me, I loved it. I sure hope they get the money to do the second and third films – would be a shame if not :(

Finally :)

Yes, my blog was down for most of yesterday, doh! But here it is back as normal, yay!

Managed to get two nights of plenty of sleep and now feeling more cheery. To be honest, I find having a rant on the blog very therapeutic and way cheaper than a therapist lol

Cinema – quite a few films I would like to see. Think today we will go see The Last Airbender.

Hmm, airlines – just watching out of the corner of my eye about KLM not wanting to pay out the cash. You know, I can see their point. Imho, the EU should pay out the cash cos it wasn’t the airline’s fault and it wasn’t the passengers’ fault. Yes, the regulations say they should pay which is just plain tough so perhaps they should pay and then challenge it afterwards. Not often a volcano blows.

ValueSlim – this is my new diet plan. I like everything but am struggling with their lunches – I’m not sure about the soups and the last coucous meal I made up was very salty for my tastes. However, the rest of it is good. Will see how it goes – think it will be rather slow going loss wise given some of the desserts.

Stress – the Ultimate Pain in the Neck

Lately, I’ve been suffering from anxiety. It’s partly my own fault. Mum has been going on about wanting to move for so long I went searching for places for her. The first one we looked at was small and way too overpriced imho! Then last week we went to one that was not badly priced but in terrible condition – now mum’s sparked as they may just go for her offer is she can sell her place quick. Thing is, it’s as stressful as if we were moving – in some ways more!

Bad day – I’ve had a bad day! Won’t go into why but right now I’m a little cheesed off. I’ve been fighting the urge for a change, but not sure what change exactly – that weird bored feeling, probably as a result of the side effect of the stress above. I’m tired and now I’ve decided I need to slow down a bit on the work – right now I’ll just take my time but at some point I am going to have to cut my hours. Can’t say what it is, but I’m so tired – maybe I’ve got too much in my head right now, I don’t know, but I do know I need to start focusing on my health, lose more weight and get in shape to have my terribly knackered gallbladder removed – being tired makes dieting difficult. Will see how things go. Tiredness is perhaps a side effect of the gallbladder now – it can’t be good for overall health to have a buggered inflamed organ just sitting there. I need a “cleanse”, physical and spiritual!

Hmm, a week away in a quiet retreat sounds good :) Okay, it’s not a retreat but roll on Christmas and the cruise – I hope it turns out to be good. I’ll be mightily disappointed if not!

Coyote Falls 3D and Cats & Dogs Revenge of Kitty Galore 3D

Went cinema on Thursday night to see the above, well we didn’t know about the Coyote Falls 3D feature but these 3D shorts appear to be getting more common.

First off, Coyote Falls 3D – oh my, brilliant. Been a while since a Warner Bros cartoon made my laugh but this one is a real cracker. Roadrunner looks way cool in 3D!

Cats & Dogs – well, I was in hysterics at the musical intro. I managed to hold composure until the bouncing exploding balls of string. Perhaps it was some side effect of laughing during Coyote Falls but I found the James Bond stuff in the intro mega-amusing. As for the film itself, I liked it. Typical silly fun imho and whats not to love about cute talking cats and dogs :)

One of Those Days

It appears I’ve had one and worse than I originally thought lol

I rarely get days when I have to drag myself out of bed in the morning but lately, that’s the way it is. It’s a real struggle.

Am I old? I don’t know. Maybe it’s some mad phase I am going through and will pass.

Today when I dragged myself out of bed I obviously left my brain behind and no amount of caffeine was going to solve the problem.

I guess we all get bad days and, well, tomorrow has to be better right :)

New Keyboard, I has one :p

Okay posting this as practice on my new curvy keyboard – for one my num lock was stuck on the last one, it was also a little worse for wear and my wrists were starting to suffer so hence the new curvy keyboard. With a job like mine, it’s amazing how much the keyboard and your wrists takes a real bashing.

Got it from PC World. We then went to Asda to get some lunch stuff only to find the same keyboard £5 cheaper – doh! The keyboard isn’t that expensive anyway but will remember that next time I need a new one.

The A-Team

Ooh, one of the best films I’ve seen for a while. Oh I may be a heathen for not being over gush about Inception but, well, I like the A-Team type stuff and it does not disappoint. One of the best re-makes and imho, there’s going to be more to come. Still loving Murdock lol

Aarrrrgggggggggggggggg!

Okay:-

1. My stomach -what’s wrong with my stomach – gurgle, gurgle, blah blah!

2. Facebook – nasty, nasty addictive Facebook. Okay when I’m tired I have the focus of a flea, well less than a flea. Today I’ve been totally tired and Facebook has been real distraction. Thing is though – I’ve been that tired I may just have fallen asleep whilst working so occasional distraction wakes me up. Actually I think I did fall asleep at one point whilst typing my last file this afternoon cos one minute it was 3.30pm and then it was after 4.00pm!

3. And to follow on – guess what? I’m not bloody tired anymore. On you know what it is going to be like. I will go bed, put head on pillow and “bing” wide awake like I’ve been on speed. God I hate that!

4. Cameron – damn right tell it how it is, everyone else does – damn it, we are not just Britain, we are Great Britain. Did I mention that I turn into a mad patriot when tired? lol

5. I like Twilight and have joined a few groups on Facebook so all I get all day is Jacob or Edward notifications. So which team are you, Team Jacob or Team Edward?

6. And following on from 5 – David or Ed – which team are you? :)

Ahh, been a while since I did a crazy post – blog was getting boring!

And finally, where’s the bloody summer gone? It’s been flippin freezing today and I’ve had to resort to wearing a fur covered fleece cos the big fluffy cat had got at it.

Me, me and my view on The Karate Kid (not seen yet!)

I don’t think you can see the weight loss – I still look bloated lol The top is not the most flattering and yep, it was a windy day.

The Karate Kid – K A R A T E appears to be about Kung Fu. Yep, Kung Fu – hmm, that’ll puzzle the Japanese no end haha! So, will I go see it? Perhaps if there is nothing else on. Otherwise, it can wait. I like Jackie Chan and Jordan Smith seems pretty cute but, well, it’s just not The Karate Kid. I think they really should have called it The Kung Fu Kid – I’d have seen it then :)

Toy Story 3 and Splice

I’ve not been so well but wanted to go out as was bored so went cinema with Polyhex.

Toy Story 3 was excellent as was to be expected. Yes, it is rather sad but also a happy ending. I didn’t cry!

Guess this is the last one :(

Splice – excellent film and obviously very different from Toy Story 3. One could question some of the science but I shall hold my tongue on that as it is, after all, only a movie. Was nice to see David Hewlett from Stargate Atlantis being different.
